Yesterday we went to Canyonlands-Needles for different rocks & did some neat slickrock hikes including potholes with aquatic beings! We outhiked a storm too. A&I have hiked just about everything in Arches &did the last today to TowerArch a 3mi hike after 8mi along a gravel backroad. After a photostop at Park Ave we went in search of dinosaurs with a handout from the visitor center directing us to gravel BLM sometimes 4WD just off the highway. We first saw dino bones sticking out of rocks along a signed hillside. Another site had dino footprints in green clay in a fenced area under powerlines... free to just walk up &put your hand next to (all huge). Another site had prints from a bronto being chased by a trex (so they say)! We then trippped to Goblin State Park (rec by Lamont) &were rewarded with a free-for-all hike among odd shaped hoodoos from ancient seas when Utah was beachfront
property. It was neat to walk in&around them, but a storm was blasting us with dust so we cut it short.
