Bryce Canyon National Park

This morning we had much better views of the Grand Canyon as we enjoyed our coffee on the Lodge veranda. Our arrival at Bryce was sunny so quickly picked out a campsite &set up. We checked out the visitor center & then set out for the FairyLand loop- 8miles along the rim &down &in among the hoodoos. Hoodoos are pillars of rock where everything else around it has eroded away- an arch forms first or a clump of pillars &they slowly separate. I love hoodoos &all the pinks, red, &whites &Aaron thinks they are pretty cool too. Gray clouds threatened, but it didn't start raining until the last mile back to the car. It wasn't raining hard, but we got pretty wet &tired of it quickly. Really we are lucky we hadn't really been rained on yet. A change of clothes &a hot pizza quickly uplift morale. After dinner we took the scenic drive & enjoyed sunset views including this arch. I'm going to dig
out a spare blanket bc we're already in hoodies &overnight lows are anticipated in the 40s.
