Montauk Posse

Over the weekend I journeyed to Louisiana for Sunshine's wedding. When you tell your teacher colleagues that you are going to Sunshine's wedding, they question a name like Sunshine, but when I start rattling off all the other nicknames - Kreuz, Hot Mel, Bunny, etc. - they really start to shake their heads.

Traveling went ok. I graded some papers, read some books, got delayed in Dallas. Dallas is a pretty airport with lots of tiel floors and random huge sculptures. We got on the plane and the pilot came over the intercom and said "we were running out pre-flight tests, thii one things jammed so someone is going to come check it out." twenty minutes later... "um they tried to fix the jam and some other lights went off. not to worry we have another plane for you. you just need to saunter over the D gate and get on the plane." SAUNTER. As if it were so esay. So we got off the plane, walked through the terminal, got on the big escalators, got on the sky train, got off at the D-terminal, walked through it and sat and waited until we could get on this plane. Saunter.

This past weekend was awesome for getting to see people and hang out. Pretty much I have seen everyone because I actually stopped by their houses to spend the night and visit, but there were a few people I had missed. We actually ended up spending a lot of time together. Friday afternoon we hung out, we went to dinner, and we went to the pirate bar down the road for a little partying - followed by cain's chicken. Saturday morning some of us played putt-putt, we helped set up for the wedding and reception, we went to the wedding, went to the reception, hung out later in the evening after a nap, and then had lunch together on Sunday. That is pretty awesome.

Mel and I were taking a picture with a pink elephant beer sign then we looked directly in front of us into the men's bathroom. shocking. so i took sunshine into the ladies room to take some photos. Mid-pose she looked behind me.
and saw the naked man painted on the back of the door... hysterical.

Putt putt was amusing. the advanced course was more annoying than advanced... and the balls got stuck in the weirdest places.

Sunshine looked beautiful and hunted David down to dance with him while belting the lyrics to Journey.

Most of us parted ways after an early lunch at Applebees - memories of large group dinners there in college... adn of course we needed on last photo.
