greetings from the lava field at craters of the moon national monument, idaho. we haven't had time to explore yet, but we are stoked about our awesome campsite and the impending thunderstorm. :) yesterday we traveled thru the high desert of eastern oregon where they grow a lot of hay. today we drove along at least four scenic highways in idaho with beautiful canyons, rivers, hills, and the sawtooth mountains. it's been gray and rumbly in places and we have driven breifly in some rain (not enough to clean the car). there are no mosquitoes here and hopefully it will be warmer than camping next to a snowbank ;)
