my sort of plan - always in the works. so i am in santa cruz - purple arrow. mel and i are on way north on the quest of driving through a redwood (pink line)- apparently in hurricane weather - mels-adpoted-mom tells us. it is technically rainforest.
then south down the LA - either the coastal route (big sur)or the inland national park route (yosemite, kings, sequoia) or maybe doubling back and doing both. around la is joshua tree national park and cheesy hollywood things that i need to do - who knows i may even be 'discovered.'
from LA north east to death valley and vegas (hopefully picking up josh), across the hoover dam, and down to prescott to crash with kelley. random tours through arizona will abound (green) bc i am on a quest for giant cacti and scorpions.
then east on 66/40 (with a side trip to santa fe and los alamos) to little rock, arkansas with loads of stops and route 66 kitsch. then south to somewhere diamond mine and then into louisiana to visit dawn dawn and adam and maybe sun.
and then... not sure. i want to see memphis and nashville, but i could hit florida, or go home, or dont know.
so that's what i got. as always ideas, suggestions, and company are appreciated.
