i am old

so what i discovered on my date is that i am old. smirk. he asked me what i did and i told him that i was taking a year off and traveling but that my real life job was teaching high school. he asked how long i had been teaching, i replied three years, and he said, "wow, that means you graduated like a while ago." yes, yes i did. i must seem ancient to someone who is 22(!).

i dont feel that old, but it has now been five years since i graduated. when i think of those five years past, the first thing i think of is that my ny state teaching licenses have probably expired by now and that i should check on that whenever i get home bc maybe i should renew them. bc even though five years have passed i dont really feel that much differently than i did at 22. i am sure that i am way different in some aspects, but it is hard to quantify.

so other than feeling old, the conversations were pleasant and nonstop, but one hour later, after two beers we were both on our way. i went home did the dishes, read, and went to bed. i am so glamorous.
