yesterday i dropped my bags in a locker, bought mom a harley davidson shirt with a kangaroo riding a motorcyle, , went to central markets (for the third time) to get tea and breakfast, toured haigh's chocolate facility (lemon truffles are my favorite), and then took the tram to the seaside town of glenelg.
i walked along the beach, in the extreme wind, and later rain. i went to the bay discovery museum and learned about the history and founding of glenelg, and then went to the rodney fox shark experience. it was five dollars adn very small but loads of entertainment to me.
rodney fox was attacked by a great white when he was twenty by a great white shark - bc he was spearfishing. he basically got stiched from his hips up over his shoulder - and if you have seen my shark attack powerpoint, then you have seen the gruesome bloddy pictures from his attack - i highlight them bc they are awful but he did survive. anyway there is a plethora of shark related stuff - like jaws, megaledon teeth, props from jaws, egg cases, shark protection information, a mesh suit - with a glove you can try on (it is very thin, but heavy), a shark cage, ect. it kept me amused and as i was the only one there - i took some silly photos. i will post more when i have more time.
then i walked around town and window shopped, watched the wedding with all the other folks standing on the sidewalk, etc. just a quaint sea side town.
ahahahahaha what an awesome pic. i bet i could've spent yeeeeears in the rodney fox shark experience ... because once you get bit by a shark you have a good story to tell FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. i'll have to check out your bloody ppt.
