hello (again) new hampshire

waking up next to a waterfall makes getting up imperative. we went back to rosie's for breakfast &we were not dissapointed. yum. we took the scenic route back to new hampshire & there is no mistaking vermont is beautiful. we talked to a white mountain's ranger &got info for hiking mt washington &weather wise tmw is the day. we drove along the kancamagus (?), a scenic byway through the southern white mountains &a bull moose ran across the highway! i've been trying hard to see one the whole trip but they are most active when the mosquitos are. we set up the tent for what felt like the millionth time, ate a sandwich, read the map &got back on the road. our afternoon destination was franconia notch state park's flume gorge- a narrow canyon with a stream cutting thru and an even skinnier boardwalk. very scenic. we did one more waterfall hike (ho-hum - this photo)& then headed to woodstock
inn brewery for beer &dinner. both were excellent & we should rest well for tmw's hike.
