Newport, RI

 aaron and i are at our first brewery for this road trip - coddington in middletown. i of course am checking the sampler including blueberry, watermelon, and some normal-er ones. aaron's got a hefe. i think my favorite is the watermelon ale (in the middle with the bit o watermelon slice).

we went to newport this morning and did the 3.5mile cliffwalk to enjoy the sea and megamillion dollar mansions. some of the walk is paved, some is blocked, and some rock scrambling. we even saw greg's boat out lobstering off the point.

it was a nice stroll and the coolest home was the chinese pagoda with the tunnel under their lawn. walking back on bellevue was a parade past more grandiose homes- some of them museums or open to the public. all in all about 8 miles and a nice walk. :) gonna drink some brews and see what the afternoon brings!
