i have put on some weight. i knew it all along. i just chose to ignore it and embrace the vacation mindset until i got home. i knew bc of the shorts.
when i was planning my big trip i hit some clearance sales for technical clothes to take with me. kelley convinced me i needed to buy this one pair of shorts even though i thought they were too big. too big. now, they are too tight. as in if i sit down and breathe hard i can pop the snap. (which is funny, dont get me wrong, but depressing.)
i am not fat. well i think i am fat, but no one else would agree with me. i still am skinnier than when i was in college, but i do need to lose a few pounds bc there is no way in HELL i am going to go buy new pants. and there is no way that i am going to get big hand-me-downs from my two skinny sisters. and i enjoy being skinny-kim way too much. so will continue to wear my muffin-top jeans (the ones i can even get into) even though i know it is nasty looking as encouragement to slim down.
so working on it. i am home and on a more normal schedule and now have my own fridge so i can stock it with whatever i want which is nice and helpful. unhelpful is mom's three hundred candy dishes - which she claims she doesn't eat, so why have them? (they are for guests) and all my easter candy and my desire to learn to bake pies. so it may be my turn as the fat sister, but i am determined it will not last long. then we will all be skinny again.

the key to being the skinny sister: baking and giving it to other people. :P muhahaha.
ReplyDeleteor not being able to eat a major food group.
i think karrie means "choosing" not to eat a major food group. :) for me, it would have to be that food group called "other."
