so i thought today i was going to be productive and then go to kuranda. kuranda is a hippie touristy village up the mountains. you can pay 50 dollars to take the sky tram or 50 to take the train or 3 to take the bus. i opted for 3 but the schedule i had was incorrect and on mondays it only goes at 830 and 530. oops.
i did get my errands done this morning. i pulled loads of stuff out of my pack to mail home - 6 kilos. and it cost 70 dollars. and it will get home in 1 to 3 months. i couldn't believe it. i might beat it home. mom you cant tell rich his shirt is in the box. i am still incredulous.
and i bought a digital camera. i found one place that was open last night - 8pm on a sunday - can you believe it? i got a quote from him. i checked three or four other places this morning so i know i got the best deal for the camera i picked out - an olympus 790 and it is orange. so not in my budget, but i was going crazy for the last two days not being able to take photos. there is no way i could go two more months. no way. on the upside - i was talking to kelley and i cannot remember what the upside was. i hate having to decide on things like this - but my decision was made a bit easier by two people i talked to yesterday who had this camera - and two people at dive shops who recommended it.
tonight i am going to a lecture on the great barrier reef and tomorrow i am going for my second snorkeling trip. and i posted some more pictures into the whitsundays folder and into townsville /magnetic island. enjoy.

i think the upside was that you were talking to me and i told you that you could come home and mooch off of me until you drag yourself out of debt. yay for 0% interest credit cards. and only one of us needs to be employed at a time, right? i think it's my turn.
ReplyDeletemaybe by the time you mosey back to the east coast, i'll have a job and you can be a double moocher.
ReplyDeletewell, you are not mooching off me!! lol...lmao
