staying with retired folks is fun. you get up early, have breakfast, putter around, eat lunch, take a nap, have afternoon tea and biscuits, putter around, have dinner, putter around and go to bed early. i fit right in. i even wake up first.
then hayley and mick live downstairs (daughter of the upstairs folks). between the four of them they are keeping me entertained and giving me lots of advice about traveling and couchsurfing and things.
yesterday hayley dropped me off at a aboriginal cultural center and i threw my first boomerang. and it did come back in my general direction - but no it did not land in my hands or smack me in the face. later she showed me around yeppoon and emu park and we did some lookouts, some gorgeous beaches, and some ice cream.
i am waiting for her to come back from working to show me something else. (not that i expect it - she has just offered.)
tomorrow i have exciting plans - but i am a little skeptical how awesome it might be so i will save it for the next post)
