autumn hikes in shenandoah

today was a perfect autumn day for hiking- cool clear and beautiful blue skies. we are still trying to mark off trails on the map, but is getting harder to choose from what is left (so many are too long, too short, or just too hard to do without multiple cars). today we hiked the mt marshall trail which i would recommend simply for the scenic mountain vistas. we of course looped it with a few others for a very long (13.6) but generally pretty flat hike. you may wonder what we talk about for 5 hours (yes we set a record pace due to the relatively even terrain) and today we mentally built our dream house with detached ginormous garage for aaron's fun cars and vehicle lift. it's a good way to spend a few sunshine-y hours. and then we looked at all the houses for sale on the way home, ;) we're just speculating for fun but as we learned with the wedding, it comes in handy when the real deal
arrives. now its time for all the mexican i can eat... mexi-can not mexi-can't!
